Sheer Pleasure from Plymouth..?
Designed to afford drivers something they may have not experienced for a long time.....sheer pleasure.
The Plymouth Sapporo is a Mitsubishi Lambda with Plymouth badges. They were marketed under Dodge as the...gulp....Challenger. The Sapporo/Challenger came standard with the 4 cylinder Silent Shaft Mitsubishi engine. Chrysler bragged 40 hwy mpg's, proving that in the late 70's, Detroit was not afraid to run to imports for fuel efficiency. Proud owners checked the gas and filled the oil as they were prone to oil consumption.
Sadly after nearly 40 years its still hard to get 40 mpg's....which is why if I find one for sale, I'm buying that...thing.

At some point in this Datsuns life the owner decided to customize it. Putting forth that kind of effort on a fugly car takes love and determination.

Datsun turbo zx
Shift into Awesome. This Advertisement for the Datsun Turbo ZX is making bold statements. I am guessing both passengers have their heads against the ceiling. Showing off the early days of photoshop. Datsun inspires us all to place ourselves on their cardboard thin seats, go for a drive and crawl out on our hands and knees as we hold our back in pain. A rare car to run across now as they rust away in the boneyards of America. I can only hope to be blessed enough to cram myself into one and bask in the Glory of being 1980's cool.

Welcome, the purpose of this blog is to highlight terrible cars and the people who keep them on the road. I will share vintage advertising, pictures, videos and stories about peoples questionable choices when it comes to how they get around.
If you own a Fugly Car, please feel free to share your story with me.
